*SP North Nidhin Valsan says police have managed to prevent 10-12 burglaries across Goa

PORVORIM: North Goa SP Nindhin Valsan today said that North Goa Police has arrested an interstate criminal who was specialized in burglaries.
Addressing the media, SP North said that the North Goa Police has done a good job by arresting an interstate criminal Satpal Sharma a native of Punjab.
“He is from Punjab but resides in Bangalore. It has been found that he travels to different states for house thefts. He is specialized is house breaking and stealing items from house,” said Valsan
The SP said that previous cases involve thefts in Porvorim, Old Goa and some parts of Karnataka.
“He had come to Goa and was hunting down properties for burglary. He as hunting target house. During interrogation he said that he had identified 10-12 houses in Goa,” he said
The SP said that the accused was intercepted while he was looking out for houses for theft purposes.
“All items pertaining to breaking houses were seized from. It was also found out that in 2023 Mapusa house breaking case was carried out by the same accused.” He said
Meanwhile, Valsan said that with the efforts of police, almost 10-12 houses were saved from robbery.
