PANAJI: The Goa Police Crime Branch team conducted a narcotic raid at Guirim and arrested one Rajasthan native for being in possession of contraband substances worth Rs 2.2 lakhs.
As per information, the CB team led by PI Nitin Halarnkar alongwith staff HC Irshad Watangi, PC Mableshwar Sawant, PC Saimulla Makandar, PC Sanil Dhuri, PC Sudesh Matkar, Soni Fernandes conducted a narcotic raid at near Guirim cross, Guirim Bardez Goa and caught red handed accused Pappu Ram @ prakash, s/o Om Prakash, age 30 years, Native Ubuntu beta school, Ummed nagar road Mathaniam, Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
According to CB sleuths, the accused was in possession of white colour crystalline substance suspected to be MDMA, weighing 15.10 grams and a polythene pack parcel containing dry greenish colour flowering & fruiting tops suspected to be ganja weighing 770 grams, all worth Rs.2,20,000/- approximately in the international market.
Further investigation is in progress with PI Dattaram Raut under supervision of Dy.SP Suraj.
