MAPUSA: The Mapusa police detained four individuals from various regions of North Goa on suspicion of fabricating PAN and Aadhaar cards.
Mukund Sakharam Raut of Sal-Bicholim filed a complaint on February 12 against an unidentified individual for creating his phony Aadhaar and PAN cards and utilizing them at TJSB Bank in Mapusa to conduct fraudulent transactions.
In order to find the offenders, teams of employees from the Mapusa police station assembled, and four people were found and apprehended.
The defendants have been identified as Rahul Padloskar (38), of Panaji, Devanand Kavlekar (43) of Pilerne, Gautam Korgaonkar (38), and Razak Belwadi (26), all of Porvorim.
Sections 419, 464, 465, 466, 467, 468, 471, 477, and 420 R/w 34 IPC were utilized to arrest the accused. The suspects had fake Aadhaar and PAN cards seized from them.
Additional research is being conducted under the direction of DySP Sandesh Chodankar, SP North Akshat Kaushal, and PI Sitakant Nayak.
