PANAJI: BITS Pilani Goa campus and Goa police have exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore research and development projects involving Artificial Intelligence.
The MoU will enable them to jointly explore research and development projects involving Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and other technologies to enable predictive policing and anticipate the demands of the future.
They will also work on cybersecurity-related initiatives to fight cybercrime. BITS Goa and Goa Police will work together to create large-scale awareness among citizens.
Both the institutions plan to share expertise, technical know-how and resources for the stated goals.
Possibilities of conducting specialised courses for the training of police officers and students in subjects related to technology and crime were also discussed.
