PANAJI: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Crime Branch, Goa Police, has arrested Sameer Kalidas Satardekar, a resident of Lima Vaddo, Socorro, Bardez, in connection with a land grabbing case registered under Crime No. 34/2023.
According to police, Satardekar was allegedly involved in a criminal conspiracy with other accused persons to grab land located at Survey No. 444/8 in Anjuna, Bardez, belonging to the complainant. The accused reportedly forged documents and fabricated inventory proceedings to fraudulently transfer ownership of the property.
The accused was taken into custody on October 10, 2025, at 1:21 pm and produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Mapusa, which granted three days of police custody remand.
The investigation is being conducted by PSI Pritesh Madgaonkar of the SIT Land Grabbing Unit, under the supervision of DySP Shivram Vaigankar and overall guidance of Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch) Rahul Gupta, IPS.
Police said that further investigation is underway to identify others involved in the conspiracy.
