OLDGOA: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that 98% works of SFX Exposition are completed.
CM Sawant was addressing the press conference after chairing a final review of SFX Exposition works.
“98% works at SFX exposition have been completed; pilgrims village to be centre of attraction this time; special light & music show on Dec 27th; special buses to ply to Old Goa from all bus stands across Goa,” said Sawant
He further said that 600 traffic and 700 police personnel to be deployed for SFX exposition.
“Strict vigil via CCTVs; any suspicious person or activity in vicinity to be immediately rounded off,” he added
He said this year’s Exposition will be more grand and easily accessible to the people and transport facilities will be made available to the pilgrims.
He also said this year’s exposition, which comes once in 10 years, will be better than the previous ones, stating that there will be better accessibility and transport for devotees from within and outside the state.
“This year, I feel it will be better in the way of accessibility from transport facilities from KTC bus stands in Margao, Panaji, and other locations, as well as for pilgrims who are coming.
CM emphasized on providing sound public transport to pilgrims of Panaji, Margao, Mapusa and Vasco to Old Goa and back at specific timings with due publicity for effective traffic management for common person.
“Small EV buses could be used to ferry people from designated parking lots. Supdt of Police was directed to post designated police officials to manage traffic all along the route,” he added
Dr Sawant also directed the Police Officials to create awareness among the pilgrims to be cautious about pick pocketing to ensure safety of their belongings besides the installation and monitoring of CCTV Cameras all across.
