MOPA: Goa welcomed the first charter flight of the tourist season from Poland on Monday, reinforcing the State’s rising popularity among European travellers.
The Enter Air flight, chartered by Rainbow Tours, landed at Mopa Airport at 9:05 am with 185 passengers on board—marking the second straight year that Goa has featured as a key long-haul destination for Polish holidaymakers.
Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte said the arrival reflects Goa’s growing global tourism partnerships, noting that the government is focused on promoting quality tourism, improving connectivity and ensuring visitors experience Goa’s cultural, natural and heritage richness.
Director of Tourism Kedar Naik said the steady interest from Europe, including Poland, underscores confidence in Goa as a preferred destination, adding that the department is committed to strengthening infrastructure and enhancing traveller experience.
Ernest Dias, COO of Travel Corporation India, said Poland continues to be a promising market for Goa and expressed optimism about sustained arrivals throughout the season.
The inaugural charter strengthens Goa’s international tourism footprint and aligns with efforts to diversify global markets, promote seasonal tourism and enhance accessibility.
More international charters are expected in the coming months as the State pushes forward its vision of responsible and experience-driven tourism.
