PONDA: Revenue Minister Babush Monseraat assured the various Panchayat bodies and their Sarpanchas to provide Communidade land for setting up Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and Garbage Disposal Facilities.
He said Government is in the process of bringing amendments to the Communidade Act and will work with Communidade to get its land for Garbage disposal and MRF for various Panchayat.
He spoke to the media after meeting various Panchayat Bodies in Ponda Taluka. The various Panchayat Sarpanch came up with problems, and a major among them was they faced land for garbage disposal as they needed help in getting private and Communidade land for MRF as Garbage disposal sites.
The Panchmembers and Sarpanch of Some Panchayats in Ponda Taluka, namely Wadi Talavalim, Kavlem, Durbhat beside Bandora, Marcaim, Bethki Khandola Revenue Minister Babush Monseraat and, urged him to solve the problems faced by them for getting land for disposal of garbage as well as MRFshed since the past decade.

(administration your at doorstep) held as part of the Government is holding a two-day programme from March 17 to mark the completion of four years of the state government led by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and nine years of Narendra Modi-led Government at the Centre.
Bandora Sarpanch Sukanand Kurpaskar said Bandora Panchayat want 10,000 square metres of land for a garbage disposal plant. Similarly Kavlem Sarpanch Manuja Naik, Talavalim Sarpanch Vasundara Sawant, Durbhat Sarpanch met him. Dilesh Gaonkar, former Sarpanch of Wadi Talavalim, said they need at least 2000 square metres of land for the garbage site.
Bethki Khandola Sarpanch Vishal Naik met the revenue Minister to solve the land issue for the garbage disposal facility.
There was a lot of publicity made about the administration at door step programme where the Minister was expected to meet people to hear their grievances. However, it was held in a small office, which upset the locals.
