PORVORIM: In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old girl was murdered allegedly by her ex-boyfriend and her body was dumped at Amboli ghat.
The victim is identified as 30-year-old Kamakshi, a resident of Porvorim.
According to police, the murder was committed by her ex-boyfriend post refusal of the victim refusing to continue their relationship.
The accused has been identified as one Prakash Chunchwad, a 22-year-old resident of Porvorim, who was running a garage in the locality.
Hours prior to her murder, the victim reportedly filed an assault complaint against the suspect at the Mapusa police station.
The accused had promised the police in writing that he would stop interfering with her.
The victim’s sister speaking to Goemkarponn said that the family did not know about their relationship but knew they were roaming together.
“She complained to her friends that he was beating her and once they also spoke to his parents they assured that he would not trouble her again,” she added.
The sister said the accused used to come late bight and beat her up and despite many police complaints, there was no change in his attitude.
He would beat her up if she spoke to others and got involved, she said.
She also alleged that Prakash would blackmail her saying he would make her photos viral and kill her.
