PUNE: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has refuted reports suggesting that he underwent an angioplasty at a hospital in Pune, clarifying that his visit was only for a routine medical check-up.
Addressing the speculation surrounding his health, Sawant stated that he is in good condition and had not undergone any surgical procedure.
He also indicated that he was not aware of the statements attributed to the hospital regarding an angioplasty.
Earlier reports, citing officials from Ruby Hall Clinic, had claimed that the Chief Minister was admitted after experiencing discomfort and had successfully undergone a cardiac intervention, with his condition reported as stable.
The Chief Minister’s clarification has, however, created uncertainty, as differing versions of events have emerged from official and medical sources.
