PANAJI: With the Southwest Monsoon officially ending on September 30, 2025, Goa has recorded rainfall slightly above the seasonal average. During the monsoon period from June 1 to September 30, the state received 3,135 mm of rain, which is 104% of the normal expected levels. Rainfall in North Goa matched the usual average at 100%, while South Goa recorded 108%. The season experienced only four heavy rainfall days, including extreme rainfall events on July 3 and August 27, each averaging around 160 mm. The monsoon set in earlier than usual, arriving on May 25, nearly 10 days ahead of schedule, while its withdrawal began on September 14 from West Rajasthan, three days earlier than normal. This monsoon witnessed seven depressions, one of which intensified into a Deep Depression, and 69 Low Pressure System days, exceeding the typical 55-day count.
