VASCO: Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a MoD PSU has pitched in to help the Goa State Government in its fight against COVID – 19 pandemic by providing “Onsite Oxygen Generating Plant for COVID -19 Hospital at an estimated cost of Rs. 100.00 lakh.
The proposed oxygen Plant will generate medical oxygen @ 960 litres per minute and will be setup within a month by GSL, said Union Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik.
Naik further said that Considering the urgency of medical Oxygen, Goa Shipyard Limited is providing 40 nos.
“Oxygen Concentrators” at an estimated cost of Rs. 26.00 lakh to Goa Govt,of which four nos have already been delivered to Health Authorities in Goa.
This will strengthen Goa Government`s fight against COVID – 19 pandemic.
Further to contain the spread of COVID – 19, an isolation centre with 25 beds have been kept ready at GSL, Unit lll at Zuarinagar, Goa, Union Minister Naik stated.
