KARIMNAGAR: The Goa State Cooperative Apex Bank team led by its chairman Ulhas Baban Faldessai and Vice Chairman Pandurang N Kurtikar and board of directors, managing director and general manager visited the Karimnagar district cooperative central bank (DCCB) and study its success formula for emerging as the country’s best cooperative bank.
The Goa State Cooperative Apex bank team inspected the main administrative office and main branch in Karimnagar town. Later, they visited the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS) Choppadandi which also emerged as the best PACS in the country. On this occasion, they interacted with the bank and PACS staff and inquired about the computerisation and diversification of the business etc.
DCCB CEO N Satyanarayana Rao made a PowerPoint presentation on the success of the Karimnagar DCCB from a loss-making bank to profits and emerging as the best cooperative bank in the country and providing all services to the customers on par with any commercial bank. He also explained various products implemented by the bank to all sections of society and social service programmes through the construction of watersheds, imparting training in self-employment schemes etc. PACS development centre resource person G Satyanarayana Rao explained the conversion of PACS into Multi-service centres. DCCB director P Mohan Reddy said that there was no political interference in the functioning of the bank.
Goa state cooperative apex bank chairman Ulhas Baban Faldessai was all praise for the KDCCB and said that they had learnt a lot from the bank. Appreciating the teamwork of the Karimnagar DCCB, he said that the cooperatives would survive only with cooperation. Hailing the leadership of KDCCB chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao, who is also chairman of NAFSCOB and TSCAB, Mr Ulhas said Mr Rao is a great visionary leader and said that the bank would make further more strides under his dynamic leadership.
