Panaji: The Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department is in the process of drafting a dedicated policy under the Regional Plan to protect heritage homes in Goa’s villages, TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane announced.
In a post on social media, Rane stated that the policy, as approved by the TCP Board, will mirror the conservation zones already marked in the Outline Development Plans (ODPs) of urban areas.
“The proposed policy aims to provide recognition and protection to traditional Goan heritage structures, ensuring their structural stability, cultural preservation, and architectural legacy,” Rane said.
