Panjim: The Goa Yoga Association, recognized by the Sports Authority of Goa, proudly announced that the Goa team secured one silver and two bronze medals at the 50th Senior National Yogasana, Artistic, Rhythmic and Sports Championship held from October 9 to 12, 2025, at Ganapati Sacchidananda Ashrama, Mysore, Karnataka. The event was organized by the Karnataka Yoga Association under the auspices of the Yoga Federation of India. The glittering inaugural ceremony was graced by Shri Yaduvir Wodeyar, King of Mysore and sitting Member of Parliament, along with the Pontiff of Ganapati Sacchidananda Ashrama.
Representing Goa in the senior category were Mr. Divij Bait, Mr. Ashish Pal, Mr. Sourabh Gorai, Ms. Trisa Manna, Ms. Ashwini Churi, and Mr. Damodar Govenkar. Among them, Ms. Ashwini Churi delivered an outstanding performance by winning the Silver Medal in Artistic Yoga (Female) and the Bronze Medal in Artistic Pair (Female) along with Ms. Trisa Manna, who also secured the fifth place in Artistic Yoga (Female).
Other commendable performances included Mr. Ashish Pal, who secured fourth place in Artistic Male, Mr. Divij Bait who finished fifth in Artistic Solo Male, the pair of Mr. Sourabh Gorai and Mr. Ashish Pal who took fourth place in Rhythmic Pair Male, and the pair of Mr. Divij Bait and Mr. Sourabh Gorai who finished fifth in Artistic Pair Male. The team of Ms. Ashwini Churi, Ms. Trisa Manna, Mr. Divij Bait, Mr. Sourabh Gorai, and Mr. Ashish Pal also secured fifth place in the Free Flow category.
The Goa Yoga Association congratulated all participants for their exemplary performance and for bringing glory to the state by showcasing their talent and dedication at the national level.
