PANAJI: Goa is setting a national benchmark in cyber safety with the introduction of cloud-based 1930 Cyber Helpline, ensuring faster response, 100% accountability, and smarter policing.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said, “Goa is proudly setting a national benchmark in cyber safety. With the 1930 Cyber Helpline, we are ensuring faster response and complete accountability. Soon, the e-Zero-FIR system will enable instant registration of cyber fraud cases up to ₹1 lakh, directly through 1930. This is part of our commitment to citizen-first, cyber-safe Goa.”
The upcoming e-Zero-FIR initiative will allow victims of cyber fraud to lodge FIRs online instantly, without visiting police stations, for cases involving amounts up to ₹1 lakh. The move is expected to enhance efficiency in cyber policing and make the process more transparent and accessible to the public.
Goa Police emphasized that the combined use of cloud technology and digital processes will strengthen smart policing, ensuring citizens can report cyber crimes quickly while holding authorities accountable.
