PANAJI: The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, has issued an urgent advisory to all hoteliers, guesthouse owners, and accommodation providers, directing them to mandatorily comply with the Tourists Information Management Enterprise (TIME) software for data submission and C-Form filing of foreign tourists.
The TIME platform, implemented by the department, is aimed at streamlining the collection of tourist-related statistics. Accommodation units have been asked to treat timely data submission as a priority to ensure a safe and secure tourism ecosystem in the state.
According to the advisory, all tourist information must be uploaded to the TIME software by the 5th of every month. Submissions must be accurate and complete, failing which they will be treated as non-compliance. The Department will also conduct regular inspections and audits.
Non-compliance will attract penalties, including fines and sanctions under the Goa Registration of Tourist Trade (Amendment) Rules, 2022. Persistent violations may even result in suspension or cancellation of licenses.
The advisory also reiterates that all accommodation units hosting foreign tourists are required to mandatorily file C-Forms.
The Department has appealed to hoteliers to act immediately to ensure full compliance and maintain Goa’s reputation as a premier global tourism destination.
