Panaji: The Department of Tourism Goa participated in the opening day of the Travel & Tourism Fair Bengaluru 2026, which is being held from March 13 to March 15 at the Bangalore Palace Grounds. The three day event has brought together tourism boards, travel agencies, tour operators and hospitality stakeholders from across the country.
At the exhibition, the Goa Tourism pavilion is highlighting the state’s diverse tourism experiences beyond its well known beaches. The showcase focuses on cultural tourism, spiritual circuits, hinterland experiences, eco tourism, wellness travel, culinary traditions and MICE tourism opportunities aimed at attracting a wider range of travellers.
On the opening day, the pavilion was visited by H. K. Patil, Minister for Tourism, Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Legislation in the Government of Karnataka. He was welcomed by the Goa Tourism delegation led by Dhiraj Wagle, along with Vishesh Naik and Manoj Parab. The interaction highlighted continued collaboration with tourism stakeholders and partners at the travel trade event.
Goa Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte said platforms such as the travel fair offer an important opportunity to engage with the travel trade and present Goa’s evolving tourism story. He noted that the focus remains on promoting the “Goa Beyond Beaches” initiative while encouraging a regenerative and sustainable tourism approach that highlights the state’s heritage, culture, nature trails and culinary traditions.
Director of Tourism Kedar Naik also emphasised that the event serves as an important platform for strengthening partnerships with the domestic travel trade while promoting the state’s expanding tourism segments.
During the three day exhibition, the Goa delegation is interacting with tour operators, travel agents and industry stakeholders to promote the state’s varied tourism experiences and further strengthen partnerships within the domestic tourism market.
