PANAJI: The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, shone brightly at the Business + Leisure Travel & MICE (BLTM) 2024 event which took place from August 29 – 31, 2024 at Yashobhoomi (India International Convention & Expo Centre) in Dwarka, New Delhi. The event served as an outstanding platform for showcasing Goa’s unique attractions and establishing valuable connections within the travel industry.
Moreover, the Goa Tourism Pavilion received the Best Decoration award at BLTM 2024, impressing visitors with the state’s captivating charm. This recognition serves as a tribute to Goa’s unwavering commitment to crafting an immersive and aesthetically stunning experience within the pavilion, perfectly highlighting the state’s distinctive charm and allure for all to discover. The accolade was presented by Satpal Maharaj, Minister of Tourism, Government of Uttarakhand, along with Mugdha Sinha IAS, Director General (Tourism), Ministry of Tourism, and Dr Harold Goodwin, Founder Director ICRT.
The Goa Tourism delegates led by Pravinkumar Faldessai, Marketing Manager GTDC, Prabhakar Gawde, Assistant Tourist Officer and Uday Naik, Information Assistant, Department of Tourism, collectively represented the state’s tourism offerings at the event. The Goa pavilion at BLTM 2024 was honoured with a visit from Satpal Maharaj, Minister of Tourism, Government of Uttarakhand, who stopped by to explore the state’s vibrant showcase.
The Goa Tourism Pavilion at BLTM 2024 perfectly encapsulated the state’s vibrant culture and distinct character. The pavilion showcased Goa’s rich cultural legacy, vibrant festivals, adventure experiences, and the captivating hinterland. By emphasizing Goa’s pioneering adoption of Regenerative Tourism, the pavilion presented a comprehensive view of the destination, prioritizing sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and local communities. Visitors were especially intrigued by Goa’s diverse attractions, including the Ekadasha Teertha and the forthcoming St. Francis Xavier Exposition, which aligns with the state’s regenerative tourism ethos.
Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Director Tourism and Managing Director, GTDC said, “The BLTM 2024 event provided a valuable opportunity to showcase the diverse offerings of Goa and establish meaningful connections with key stakeholders in the travel industry. We intend to leverage these newly formed relationships to enhance Goa’s global visibility and continue promoting it as a premier destination for international travellers. Our commitment to highlighting the unique character of Goa, embracing regenerative tourism practices, and delivering exceptional experiences remains stronger than ever. ” He added.

Additionally, the event provided valuable networking opportunities, strengthening Goa’s position as a leading and innovative tourism destination. It also effectively promoted Goa as a premier choice for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism and as an ideal locale for destination weddings, with its picturesque settings and bespoke services offering a memorable backdrop for both business and celebratory events. Overall, the positive feedback underscored Goa’s commitment to delivering exceptional and sustainable visitor experiences.
