PANAJI: Goa Tourism has achieved a remarkable milestone at the India Travel Mart (ITM) Amritsar 2024, proudly receiving the Best Pavilion Award. This prestigious recognition was presented by Ajay Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director of India Travel Mart, C/O ICM Group, and was accepted by Deepak Narvekar, Deputy General Manager, Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), and Rodlin Mascarenhas, Assistant Director, Department of Tourism, Goa.
Goa’s pavilion distinguished itself through an engaging showcase of the state’s rich cultural heritage, regenerative tourism initiatives, and diverse travel experiences. The vibrant representation and commitment to promoting sustainable tourism practices captivated both visitors and industry leaders throughout the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director of Tourism, Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, remarked, “Winning the Best Pavilion Award is a testament to Goa Tourism’s dedication to continuously elevating our tourism offerings. ITM Amritsar has provided a valuable platform for us to engage with industry leaders, share our vision of regenerative tourism, and promote Goa as a destination that balances growth with sustainability.”
Upon receiving the award, Mr. Deepak Narvekar, Deputy General Manager, GTDC said, “This accolade is a reflection of our collective efforts to present Goa as a destination that offers not only scenic beauty but also innovative and sustainable tourism solutions. Goa Tourism’s participation at ITM Amritsar 2024 provided an excellent opportunity to network with key stakeholders, tour operators, and investors. The pavilion successfully highlighted Goa’s diverse attractions, from wellness and spiritual tourism to adventure, culture, and culinary experiences, while exploring new partnerships and collaborations within the tourism sector.
