Panaji: Goa Tourism has been awarded the Best Wedding Destination title at the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) Mumbai 2025, held from August 11–13 at the Jio World Convention Centre.
The award was received on behalf of the department by Deputy Director of Tourism Rajesh Kale, Assistant Tourist Officer Chitra Vengurlekar, Janvi Kharat from the Tourism Department, and GTDC Manager Chandrashekhar Kopardekar.
Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte said Goa’s growing reputation as India’s preferred wedding destination reflects the hard work of the tourism industry and stakeholders. “At TTF Mumbai, we presented Goa as a place where celebrations can blend seamlessly with sustainability, community, and culture,” he said.
Tourism Director Kedar Naik said the award highlights Goa’s diversity of experiences and the tremendous response at its pavilion during the event. “Goa’s heritage, wellness offerings, and hinterland tourism can be woven into unique destination weddings,” he noted.
Goa’s appeal lies in its blend of scenic beaches, luxury resorts, heritage properties, and unique cultural settings. The state attracts both domestic and international wedding planners seeking memorable, picturesque venues.
The Goa Tourism pavilion at TTF Mumbai 2025 showcased Regenerative Tourism initiatives, community-led ventures, heritage village trails, wellness circuits, and immersive cultural experiences, underlining the state’s commitment to responsible, year-round tourism.
