VASCO: In light of the upcoming 37th National Games cycling event, which is scheduled to take place on National Highway 566 from 9 a.m. on November 6 to midnight on November 9, the Goa Traffic Police have released a traffic advisory.
For the seamless operation of the cycling (road race) on November 8 and 9, vehicle traffic will be limited in the lane that leads from MES College Junction to Birla Cross Junction, NH 566, from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On November 6 and 7, traffic from Dabolim Airport heading towards Verna-Margao will be permitted to use the left lane on NH 566 from MES College Junction to Birla Cross Junction.
On November 8 and 9, all traffic heading towards Vasco/Mormugao will be detoured via Cortalim Circle-Chicalim Circle from Birla Cross Junction, and on November 9 all traffic heading towards Verna-Margao from Vasco will be detoured via Birla-Zuarinagar-Cansaulim from MES College Junction.
For the smooth running of the cycling (road race) event on November 8 and 9, heavy vehicles would not be permitted to travel between MES College Junction to Birla Cross Junction (left lane), NH 566, between 4 a.m. and 3 p.m.
All heavy vehicles leaving Dabolim Airport will be rerouted onto Chicalim Circle, Cortalim Circle, and Birla Cross Junction.
