Taleigao: Goa University has announced the schedule for its selection trials to form the Men’s teams in Chess and Basketball for the upcoming Inter-University Championship 2025-26.
The Chess Men team trials will be held on August 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sports Section of Goa University. Interested students are required to report by 9:30 a.m. with their college identity card, Aadhaar card, birth certificate, and playing kit.
For the Basketball Men team, selection-cum-screening trials will be conducted from players participating in the Goa University Inter-College Basketball Men’s Championship, scheduled from August 19 to 22, 2025. Players from colleges not participating in the championship, but who wish to be considered, can report on August 22, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at the SAG Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelim, in full playing kit.
Colleges have been requested to inform the university’s Sports Section at sports@unigoa.ac.in if any of their Chess or Basketball Men players are unable to attend the trials, providing valid reasons for their absence, so their cases can be considered for selection.
