TALEIGAO: Panaji Women’s Police Station has arrested a Goa University (GU) Assistant Professor for allegedly sexually harassing a student.
The incident was reported by the victims father to the Panaji Women’s Police Station. According to the allegation, the assistant professor invited the girl to his cabin where he twice touched her impermissible.
According to authorities, the father first complained to the university, and when they did nothing, he went to the police.
The father also contacted an MLA, who then contacted the CMO for assistance, according to the police. On Wednesday, the police took down the girl’s statement and filed a FIR.
