On Day 1, Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering & Information Technology, Shiroda defeated VM Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Management, Manora-Raia, Salcete 2-0 at the Goa University Ground, with Sarthak Tari scoring in the 29th minute and Krupal Maulangkar adding a second goal in the 62nd minute. Meanwhile, at the Rosary College Ground, Goa College of Agriculture, Ela, Old Goa was awarded a walkover against Goa College of Hospitality. The next matches are scheduled for 22nd September, with Goa College of Architecture facing Goa College of Pharmacy at 3:15 PM at Goa University Ground, and V.M. Salgaocar College of Law taking on VP’s Mandrem College, Pernem at 2:00 PM at Rosary College Ground. The tournament continues to showcase competitive football as colleges vie for top honours in Goa University’s premier inter-collegiate championship.
