Team Goemkarponn
PANAJI: Goa University has announced its Men’s Kabaddi team for participation in the AIU West Zone Inter University Kabaddi (Men) Tournament 2025-26, which will be held at MediCaps University, Indore (M.P.) from 1st to 5th October 2025. A kit distribution and farewell function for the team was organized on 24th September 2025 at the Sports Section of Goa University. The event was attended by Mr. Balachandra Jadar, University Assistant Director of Physical Education and Sports, and Mr. Dinesh Patil, Assistant Sports Officer, along with team coach Mr. Yogesh Sawal Desai and team manager Mr. Pandurang Naik.
The following players have been selected to represent Goa University in the tournament: Piyush Choudhary, Khaza Jangundi, A G Kartik, Sanchit Gawas, Laxman Shetgaonkar, Suresh Hadpad, Jeswin Kamalan, Laxman Gawda, Amogh Tengse, Ashish Velip, Sateesh Chalawadi, Shreyash Gawas, Bhargav Mandrekar, and Abhijeet Potadar. The university extended its best wishes to the team, encouraging them to showcase their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while competing against top teams from the West Zone.
