PANAJI: Goa University has been awarded an A+ grade with a CGPA of 3.3, valid until 2030, in the recent National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation cycle. This marks a significant leap from the university’s previous B+ rating, reflecting the institution’s sustained efforts in academic excellence and institutional development.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. (HAG) Harilal B. Menon expressed pride and heartfelt gratitude while addressing the university community, attributing the achievement to the unwavering commitment and collaborative spirit of faculty, staff, and students.
“This remarkable accomplishment has not come overnight. It is the result of countless hours of dedication—from classrooms to laboratories, administrative desks to student support services. Your passion for excellence, integrity in service, and resilience in the face of challenges have propelled our university to this new height,” the Vice-Chancellor stated.
He extended special appreciation to the teaching faculty for their role in fostering academic rigor, research, and a student-centric approach, as well as to the non-teaching staff whose silent but crucial contributions ensured the seamless functioning of the institution.
Prof. Menon described the A+ grade as a milestone in the university’s journey of transformation and quality enhancement. “It is more than just a grade. It reflects our collective pursuit of a shared vision for continuous growth and excellence in higher education,” he said.
Calling for renewed enthusiasm, he urged the university community to continue striving for impact, innovation, and inclusivity.
“This A+ accreditation provides a strong foundation upon which we will build even greater achievements in the years to come,” he concluded.
