PANAJI: Goa University today announced that the Final Year exam for Under Graduate as well as University Department students will be held in Online mode in July.
The exams will commence for July 9 for Programmes offered by the affiliated colleges and from July 1 onwards for programs offered by the University Departments.
“University has decided to conduct the VI semester End Examination (regular and repeat) for the UG Programmes in General Education for all outgoing students in online mode. Due weightage shall be given to previous semesters to reflect the overall performance of the students in the programme of study,” stated the circular issued by the university
The duration of the examination shall be two hours. The question papers shall be sent to the students through Google Classroom, Moodle, E-mail, Whatsapp etc. Students have to either type or write the answers on paper,take photographs of the answer sheets and send them to the institution electronically.
The Examinations will be conducted as per the following guidelines:
1. All the Examinations shall commence from 9th July onwards for Programmes offered by the
Affiliated colleges and from 1 July onwards for Programmes offered by the University
Departments. The Examinations shall be conducted in online mode only.
2. There shall be only one Question Paper per subject per college.
3. The duration of the examination shall be two hours.
4. The question papers shall be sent to the students through any of the following platforms:
Google Classroom, Moodle, E-mail, Whatsapp etc. at 10:00 a.m.
5. Students may either type the answers electronically or write down the answers and then scan /photograph and upload the answer sheet. Students will be required to upload their answer scripts latest by 1:00p.m.
6. The college shall retain soft copies of the uploaded answer sheets for record. 7. All pending Intra-Semester Assessment (ISA)/CIA for all students shall be conducted in online
mode only.
8. Apart from submission of the soft copy in PDF format of the Projects/Dissertation by the Final
Year students on 15th June 2021, the students are to submit the hard copy of the same by 1″ July 2021 to the College, 9. The pattern of the question paper and formula for declaration of the results of specific
programmes shall be as follows:
A) B.A./B.Sc (including Home Science) /B.Com/B.C.A/BSW Programmes: i) The examination shall be of 30 marks. There will be two types of short answer questions,
a) Question No. 1 shall have 8 questions of 2 marks each out of which the students will answer any 5 questions.

b) Question No. 2 shall have 6 questions of 5 marks each, out of which the students will answer any 4 questions.
iii) For declaration of the result the following formula shall be used: a) Only theory papers: 50% of the marks of the previous semesters + 20% marks
of the ISA+ 30% marks scored in the Semester End Examination (SEE)
b) Papers with Practical Components
1. Theory: Same as above:
2. Practical (25/50 marks): 5/10 marks for Journal+ 5/10 marks for consistency of performance + 15/30 marks for online viva.
B) OC-45 Repeat Examinations Semester V and VI (Old Course)
For the purpose of calculating the final result, 50% weightage shall be assigned to the ISA
component of each paper and 50% weightage shall be assigned to the Semester End Examination (SEE).
For Papers with Practical components of 100 marks, marks shall be assigned as follows: 20 marks for Journal + 20 marks for Consistency of performance + 60 marks for Viva (Online),
C) B.B.A Programme:
For the purpose of calculating the final result, 50% weightage shall be assigned to the CIA component of each paper and 50% weightage shall be assigned to the Semester End Examination,
D) BBA (Financial Services) Programme:
For the purpose of calculating the final result, the existing 40 marks for ISA for each paper will be scaled up to 50 marks and the Semester End Examination shall be for 50 marks.
The Principals of the Affiliated Colleges and Head of University Department offering the above programmes are requested to bring the contents of this Circular to the notice of all concerned.
