PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that Goa would pioneer the implementation of the New Education Policy.
“Goa to pioneer implementation of the New Education Policy,” said CM at Media Manthan Conclave in Delhi.
He further said that his government plans on making Goa a Tourism Capital, an environment-friendly mining state and an entirely Swayampurna.
“We have focused on mining, tourism, health and infrastructure development as we entered this new phase of Governance,” he added.
Sawant, further speaking on recently held elections, said that defeating TMC was easy as they were only present in advertisements. We kept doing genuine work with the sole aim of development and progress.
He said that the work and progress that hadn’t been accomplished in Goa for the past 50 years is being completed now and that he would rank this as a huge accomplishment.
“Goa is moving on from the image of being a host for tourists looking for sun, sand and sea; our major focus is now on spiritual, cultural and hinterland tourism,” CM said.
Meanwhile, CM Sawant said that he had incorporated Sarkar Tumchya Daari to assist locals with their routine issues; it was also a means to imbibe the importance of being Swayampurna.
