PANAJI: Goa has brought national recognition to the State after winning multiple National SKOCH Awards for its innovative and inclusive education and skill development initiatives.
Congratulating the teams of the Directorate of Higher Education, Department of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, SCERT Goa and the Directorate of Education, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the awards reflect Goa’s commitment to building a future-ready education ecosystem.
“These national honours for Converge – Shiksha Udyojak Sangam, the Chief Minister’s Kaushalya Path Scheme, Goa’s achievement as a Fully Literate State (Gold Award), and the Mukhyamantri Shikshan Sahay Yojana (Silver Award) show our strong commitment to inclusive, skill-oriented and future-ready education in line with the National Education Policy,” Sawant said.
He added that the recognition strengthens the State’s vision for long-term development
“These achievements reaffirm our resolve to build a Viksit Goa 2037 through a skilled and empowered youth. I dedicate this success to our students, teachers, officials, volunteers and industry partners who made it possible,” the Chief Minister said.
The awards recognise Goa’s efforts to integrate education with skill development, promote entrepreneurship and ensure access to learning for all sections of society, positioning the State as a national model in education and human resource development.
