SANKHALI: The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress on Saturday undertook a full-day organisational tour of the Sankhali Assembly Constituency with the aim of strengthening the party at the grassroots level in preparation for the 2027 Assembly Elections.
The tour was led by Goa Pradesh Youth Congress President Shri Archit Naik, along with Goa In-charge Shri Swapnil Patil, State Vice President Shri Vaishnav Pednekar, North District President Shri Trevor Fernandes, and members of the Sankhali Block Youth Congress Committee. The leadership interacted extensively with local youth, party workers, and residents, seeking to energise the organisation and reinforce the Congress party’s commitment to the people of Sankhali.
Addressing party workers during the tour, Shri Archit Naik strongly criticised Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, accusing him of misusing government machinery to suppress voters in Sankhali. He alleged that the BJP government is attempting to mislead the youth through fake job promises and hollow assurances, while unemployment and frustration continue to rise in the constituency.
“The people of Sankhali are no longer fooled by false promises and intimidation tactics. They are ready for change. In 2027, Sankhali will reject the BJP and elect a Congress MLA,” Shri Archit Naik asserted.
The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress reiterated its determination to fight fearlessly for jobs, justice, and dignity, and to expose what it termed as the failures of the BJP government at every level. Party leaders said the strong response from the youth during the tour is a clear indication that Sankhali is gearing up for a Congress victory in the 2027 Assembly Elections.
