PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that Goans are exploring multiple Start Up opportunities in AYUSH while stating that these Start Ups shall definitely contribute in the mission of making Goa a AYUSH Medical tourism destination.
“Happy to know that Goans are exploring multiple Start Up opportunities in AYUSH. These Start Ups shall definitely contribute in the mission of making Goa a AYUSH Medical tourism destination,” said CM Sawant
Sawant also assured that the Government of Goa shall extend all the support for the growth of the Start Ups in the state.
CM also interacted with the foreign buyers delegates, at the Reverse Buyers Sellers Meet at the
9th WAC organised by AYUSHEXCIL and also interacted with the Goan startups in Ayush and Wellness industry.
“Buyers from 8 different countries were present. Vietnam, Ghana, Nepal, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Uganda, Armenia, and Sri Lanka,’ he added
Meanwhile, Chief Minister said that government aims to make Goa a prominent destination for wellness tourism.
“We all perform various roles as students, teachers, researchers, practitioners, manufacturers, distributors etc, and being stakeholders in the field of Ayurveda, it is our duty to propagate this system of medicine,” he added
Dr. Sawant said that the introduction of AYUSH visa for AYUSH treatment is a historic decision.
“The upcoming satellite centre of All India Institute of Ayurveda in Goa will boost Ayurvedic tourism in the state, he added. Goan students will get 50% reservation in admissions for various courses at the institute,” Sawant said
