Panaji: Goa has taken a significant step forward in digital governance with its flagship platform, GoaOnline, surpassing 9.34 lakh successfully delivered services. The platform, led by the Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (DITE&C) under the leadership of Hon’ble Minister Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, continues to redefine citizen-centric service delivery by making government services accessible, transparent, and efficient. As of June 2025, GoaOnline has received over 9.54 lakh applications and completed 9.34 lakh of them across more than 200 services from 30 different departments.
The Revenue Department leads the digital service tally with 4.45 lakh completed applications, mostly for income and caste certificates. The Labour & Employment Department follows closely with over 3.16 lakh services related to registrations, licenses, and welfare benefits. Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) has processed 75,800 requests for land allotments, NOCs, and industrial permissions, while the Health Services Department has completed over 36,300 services including birth and death certificates and medical NOCs. These numbers reflect not only adoption at scale but also the effectiveness of backend integration and inter-departmental coordination.
Shri Rohan A. Khaunte has emphasized that GoaOnline is more than a portal—it’s a symbol of governance transformation. “GoaOnline is not just a website; it’s a revolution in how government interacts with people. It bridges the gap between citizens and the state through technology,” the minister said. The initiative also extends to rural households through the Gramin Mitra program, ensuring last-mile delivery of services like certificates and subsidies right at the doorsteps of citizens, thus fostering digital inclusivity.
Looking ahead, the Department of ITE&C is working to further enhance the platform by adding mobile accessibility, introducing AI-based service recommendations, and enabling chatbot-assisted support. The vision is to deliver governance that is smart, seamless, and scalable. With a near 98% completion rate and a strong focus on compliance and transparency, Goa is emerging as a national leader in digital governance. The GoaOnline platform stands as proof that even a small state can set big benchmarks for the rest of the country to follow.
