With five death and 337 new cases on Sunday Goa seem to be heading the Mumbai, Delhi way.
The five deaths take Covid death toll to 53. Sunday also registered 230 recoveries.
Of the five deceased 3 are men while 2 are women. Four of those who succumbed to the disease today are residents of Vasco while one person is from Marcaim constituency.
72 year male from Sada, 54-year old male from Zuarinagar, 72 year female from New Vaddem, Vasco and 54 year male from Durbhat, Ponda, admitted at ESI COVID hospital, Margao, all with co-morbidities expired today.
Also another 45-year old women from Baina admitted at ESI COVID hospital Margao succumbed to the virus.
With today’s surge, the State now has 6530 confirmed cases and 1809 active cases. Total recoveries stand at 4668.
Out of 4525 samples tested, 2237 were negative and 337 positive while 1951 reports were pending.
