PORVORIM: Minister of the Water Resources Subhash Shirodkar has allayed fears of a possible water shortage by reassuring the people of Goa that the state’s dams have enough water storage to meet demand.
Shirodkar stressed that the water levels in Goa’s dams are adequate to guarantee a consistent supply of water throughout the state, despite concerns about water shortages as the summer months draw near.
He affirmed that all required steps have been made by the administration to efficiently manage and distribute water.
The public is to be reassured by the minister’s assertion that the state is ready to meet water demands through May.
He also emphasized the government’s resolve to deal with issues pertaining to water and make sure that the supply to homes and businesses is uninterrupted.
