Panaji: Goa-based Dempo Group of companied on Monday announced its foray in the hospitality and power generation sector.
Addressing Invest Goa 2024 summit on Monday near Panaji, Shrinivas Dempo, chairman of Dempo Group of companies said that they are contemplating to venture in the hospitality industry by constructing a five star property at Varca in South Goa.
“We have got land. We are going to go ahead after the Coastal Zone Management Plan is finalised now,” he said.
Dempo said that his company would be writing to Goa Investment Promotion Board and hopefully in few years from now, the project will be ready.
In yet another announcement, he said that Dempo group is discussing different projects. “But we would also like to go for environment friendly power generation project,” he added.
Invest Goa 2024 Summit was hosted by Goa Industrial Development Corporation and Goa Investment Promotion Board.
Confederation of Indian Industry were the national partners for the event that saw presence of more than 400 delegates.
Dempo group of companies has diversified interests in industries such as calcined petroleum coke, shipbuilding, food processing, real estate and newspaper publishing
