MARGAO: In a significant development for healthcare and medical education in Goa, the ESI Hospital in Margao has been included in the list of locations under active consideration for the establishment of new medical colleges.
The Government of Goa has expressed deep gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Labour & Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya for positively considering the state’s request.
“This is a crucial step toward strengthening healthcare infrastructure in South Goa and expanding opportunities for aspiring medical students,” said a government spokesperson. “We are committed to working closely with the Centre to bring this vision to fruition.”
The inclusion of ESI Margao in the proposal marks a boost for the region, where demand for advanced medical facilities and education continues to grow.
