PERNEM: Union Minister for Tourism, Waterways and Ports Shripad Naik today said that in Goa, the Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) in Higher education for women is 30% the state against the national average of 27.3 %; improvement of Gross Enrolment Ratio is one of the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP).

Naik was speaking at the inaugural of the annexe of Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce at Virnoda- Pernem.
He further said that the Government of Goa is working towards providing state of the art facilities in colleges of Goa.
“Our government has been working to provide the best facilities in colleges in Goa so that students get the best hands-on experience,” he said.
Meanwhile, Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu, inaugurated the New State of the Art Building Complex of Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Govt. College of Arts & Commerce at Pernem.
