Delhi Power Minister Satyendar Jain stated that both the Congress and the BJP have failed to develop better infrastructure in Goa. If the Aam Aadmy Party is elected to power, Goa’s infrastructure will take a leap under the AAP.
Jain said that unlike BJP, AAP had not done corruption in infrastructure projects. AAP saved money by eliminating corruption in Delhi and constructed several flyovers, ramps, underpasses, and foot overbridges.
He said, “AAP has built 250 government schools with swimming pools, lifts, and other amenities in Delhi. AAP has established Mohalla clinics in every ward of Delhi and provided free health care. AAP’s work on education and health is known worldwide. If AAP voted to power AAP will do similar development work in Goa”.
“The Atal Setu which was inaugurated in 2019 at the whopping cost of 1400 crores has been closed for the maintainance in two years of time. While the BJP has been talking about development and prosperity, they are only interested in making fortunes at the expense of the state. Their every project is synonymous with corruption. It is no wonder their minister’s income has risen by 3000 percent”, he added.
In a two-day visit, Jain canvassed door-to-door in Calangute, Panaji and Mapusa and held public meetings in Siolim, Mayem and Aldona. The people were thrilled to see Jain, whom they had seen on television, engage in a debate with State’s Power Minister Nilesh Cabral over AAP’s free electricity promise. The majority of people expressed their satisfaction with the AAP manifesto and are eagerly anticipating this year’s polls. They believe only AAP can bring about a change.
Jain said, “Panaji is the capital city of Goa and Mapusa is one of the major cities, while Calangute is a popular tourist destination. However, all three lack basic infrastructure. Today, Panaji has witnessing flooding, parking issues, and traffic congestion caused by a casino. As with Mapusa market, there are no toilet facilities for vendors. The roads in Calangute also need to be improved. If AAP comes to power, our MLA will work towards resolving these issues”.
