CANACONA: Lok Sabha Secretariat appointed Samiksha Velip of Canacona and Gauri Mavlinkar of Mapusa as the Konkani Interpreters in the Lok Sabha, New Delhi.
It is learnt that Samiksha Velip, who hails from Bhupar-Gaondongrim has been appointed to the post of one of the two Konkani Interpreters in the parliament (Lok Sabha).
Ms Velip completed her M.A in Konkani from Goa University and is an alumna of Department of Konkani in Shree Mallikarjun & Chetan Manju Desai College, Canacona.
Wishing her best on Ms. Velip’s appointment, Shri Mallikarjun & Chetan Manju Desai College Principal Dr. Rupa Chari said, ‘Samiksha Velip’s achievement as the Konkani Interpreter in the Lok Sabha is a matter of pride to our college and serves as a true inspitation for all students. We wish her great success in her future endeavours’.
Gauri Mavlinkar is the other Goan girl from Mapusa appointed as Konkani Interpreters in lok Sabha after clearing Consultant Interpreters Empanelment Test.
