Panaji: In a significant step towards positioning Goa as a leading innovation and startup hub, the Startup and IT Promotion Cell (SITPC) under the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (DITEC), Government of Goa, is set to host the Goa Market Access Expo 2025 on June 20, 2025. The event will begin at 3:30 PM at the Grand Ballroom, Grand Hyatt, Bambolim, and is being held as part of the Goa Open Innovation Challenge 2025.
The Expo will bring together over 100 promising startups that offer tech-driven solutions in key sectors such as tourism, waste management, agriculture, public services, NABARD, ITE&C, and industry. More than just a platform for showcasing innovation, the event is designed to create tangible outcomes by facilitating direct engagement between startups, government departments, industry stakeholders, and investors. One-on-one matchmaking sessions tailored to each startup’s focus area will allow for meaningful interactions aimed at enabling pilot projects and long-term collaborations.
The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, in the presence of Minister for IT, Electronics and Communications Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte and InfoTech Corporation Chairman Dr. Chandrakant Shetye. The participation of top government leadership underscores the state’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment for startups.
The Goa Market Access Expo is not only an opportunity for entrepreneurs to connect with potential partners and investors but also a strategic initiative to transform Goa into a testbed for innovation. With government-industry collaboration at its core, the Expo is expected to fast-track the deployment of scalable solutions that address real-world challenges in both urban and rural sectors of the state.
In addition to startups, the event invites active participation from incubators, accelerators, venture capitalists, corporates, and academia—further strengthening Goa’s position as an emerging innovation hotspot.
