PANAJI: Minister for Industries Mauvin Godinho has stated that the Government is taking various initiatives to bring environment friendly industries in Goa. He was speaking after inaugurating a industrial plant of Perlon Goa Filament Company at Industrial Estate, Verna.
Godinho said that Goa need industrial growth for generating more employment avenues but at the same time we have to see that our environment do not suffer in this bargain. Hence, Government is focusing on attracting eco friendly industries to the State, he emphasized. There are various measures taken by the Government to promote ease of business activities, facilitating investors to set up their industries in the State, he added.
Godinho stressed upon upskilling of Goan youths for the jobs in industrial sector. The practice of employing manpower from outside the State has to be minimised so that locals get more employment opportunities. He also wished success to Perlon Goa Filament Company for their new endeavour. Minister for Environment Shri.Aleixo Sequeira extended his greetings to team of Perlon Goa for setting up of unit at Industrial Estate, Verna. Government is continuously making strenuous efforts for promoting clean and green industries in Goa safeguarding the environment of the land, he added.
Consultant for Perlon Goa Shri. Sudin Naik spoke on the occasion. Founder Chairman of Serafin Group Shri. Philipp Haindl, MD Shri. Kamil Grzlek, MD Smt. Megha Kapoor, CEO of Perlon GmbH Shri. Florian Kisling, CEO of Perlon Goa Shri.Bernhard Sehmidt, CFO Shri. Deepak Kumar among others were present for inaugural ceremony.
