BICHOLIM: The Bicholim fish market was today cleaned and the vendors were given their place In the market.
On Saturday Goemkarpon had highlighted the issue of fish vendors made to sell their fish in open and their plight.
Following the news the councillor of ward 6 along with the former MLA, Naresh Sawal took the initiative and cleaned the market with the help of fire Brigade. The fish vendors were later given their place in the market.
“After we heard about the fish vendors we immediately took the initiative and cleaned the fish market. They will now be able to sit inside in the shed instead of sitting in open. We also demand the people to keep the area clean” Sawal told.
