Margao: Residents of Gogol in the Curtorim constituency have submitted a formal complaint to the Executive Engineer of the PWD (Roads Division), Margao, highlighting the dangerous condition of internal roads near MRF and behind Satyawati Plaza. The complaint, filed by Engr. Roque Virgilio Mascarenhas on behalf of affected households, points to complete neglect following repeated utility excavations. Despite being a densely populated stretch housing residents from House Nos. 664 to 730 and 3/5511, 4983, no repair work has been undertaken, leaving the road in a hazardous state. Over 60 residents, including many senior citizens above the age of 80, are reportedly at daily risk due to the crumbling road surface. The complaint demands immediate inspection by PWD officials, inclusion of the road in the upcoming repair schedule, and a written assurance outlining a timeline for repair work. Engr. Mascarenhas, supported by locals including Raju Prabhudessai, Orlando Pacheco, John, Custodio, and others, also submitted photographs of the damaged stretch as evidence. The residents have urged the department to act swiftly and restore their right to safe and accessible roads.
