NAVELIM: Two unidentified persons on a motorcycle allegedly snatched a gold chain from a woman near Perpetual Socorro Convent High School in Navelim on Sunday morning.
According to Margao Town Police, the incident occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. when the complainant, Inocente Gomes alias Inacina Fernandes, a resident of Dongorim, Navelim, was targeted by the assailants.
The snatched gold chain with a pendant weighs about 24 grams and is valued at approximately ₹1.2 lakh.
Police have launched an investigation to trace the culprits, and the case is being probed by PSI Sameer Gaonkar of Margao Town Police Station.
