CORTALIM: Unknown Burglars broke into the house of Gagan Barik, a resident of Cortalim and native of Odisha, and decamped with gold ornaments valued at ₹1,30,000.
As per the complaint, the incident occurred between September 8 and 16, when the accused persons entered the house by breaking open the back window of the kitchen. They stole a gold chain with locket and a pair of earrings, which were kept inside a cupboard locker.
Verna police have registered the case under sections 331(3), 331(4) and 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The investigation is being conducted by PSI Pramila Fernandes, under the supervision of PI Anand Shirodkar and guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
