New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday described the past 11 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership—since Modi first took oath on May 26, 2014—as a “golden period” characterized by unwavering dedication to public service, economic revival, social justice, cultural resurgence, and national security. In an X post celebrating this milestone, Shah wrote, “The historic 11 years of the Modi Government have been a golden period of resolve, endeavour and dedication towards public service,” adding that this era has ushered India into a new age of economic resurgence, social equity, cultural pride, and strengthened national security.
To mark the milestone, the government released an e-book that chronicles achievements across 14 policy domains, highlighting initiatives aimed at inclusive, progressive, and sustainable development. The publication underscores the government’s insistence on “India First” in policymaking—from economic reform and national defence to empowerment schemes targeting marginalized communities and cultural preservation. Shah drew attention to major accomplishments including rapid COVID 19 vaccinations, record-breaking exports, rural electrification, infrastructure expansion, universal household water access, and the digital transformation enabled by the JAM Trinity—Jan Dhan, Aadhaar, and mobile integration—that streamlined delivery of public services directly to beneficiaries .
He further noted India’s growing environmental leadership, citing the UN’s declaration of June 21 as International Yoga Day, and pointed to Operation Sindoor as an example of India’s resolute and sovereign stance on national security.
Reflecting on the Modi government’s focus on development (“Vikasvaad”), Shah emphasized that strategic leadership backed by firm resolve and a service-oriented mindset has delivered tangible milestones in governance, security, and cultural pride. As PM Modi enters his third consecutive term, Shah concluded that this golden era of public service has laid the foundation for India’s aspiration to become a global leader.
