Explosives manufactured in Bihar’s proposed defence corridor will be used against these terrorists, he said.
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah issued a strong warning to Pakistan-sponsored terrorists on Thursday, saying that any further attack on Indian citizens will be met with a far stronger response. Addressing a rally in Darbhanga, he said explosives to be produced in Bihar’s upcoming defence corridor will be used against those who dare to harm India.
Recalling the attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Shah said the government swiftly retaliated through Operation Sindoor, which neutralised terrorists deep inside Pakistani territory. He praised the Indian Army for its decisive action, saying that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, national security remains the government’s top priority.
Shah also launched a sharp attack on the opposition, accusing leaders of the Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress of glorifying criminals and bringing back the “jungle raj” that once plagued Bihar. He urged voters not to repeat past mistakes and to support the NDA to ensure continued peace and development in the state.
The Home Minister promised that if the NDA returns to power, Rs 26,000 crore will be invested to harness the waters of the Koshi river for irrigation and flood control. He also announced plans to establish one medical and one engineering college in each district within the next five years, along with improved healthcare facilities and new employment opportunities through upcoming IT parks.
Emphasising the government’s determination to eliminate extremism, Shah declared that Naxalism will be wiped out from the country by March 31, 2026. He said the goal is not just to defeat terrorism and insurgency but to build a secure, prosperous, and self-reliant India.
He concluded his address by linking Bihar’s defence industry plans with the broader vision of a strong and self-sufficient nation, asserting that future battles, if forced upon India, will be fought with weapons “made in Bihar.”
