Vasco: Gomantak Mazdoor Sangh organised an awareness programme on Labour Codes and Provident Fund (PF) benefits with the aim of educating workers about their legal rights and social security entitlements.
During the session, speakers explained key provisions of the newly introduced labour codes, including wage protection, industrial relations mechanisms and measures aimed at improving working conditions.
Participants were informed about how the labour reforms seek to strengthen workers’ rights while ensuring compliance and transparency.
Special focus was placed on the Employees’ Provident Fund, highlighting its importance in providing financial stability, retirement security and support during emergencies.
Experts also guided workers on PF contributions, the significance of the Universal Account Number (UAN) and the rules governing PF withdrawals.
The programme witnessed active participation from trade union members and workers from Vasco and surrounding areas, reflecting a strong commitment towards empowering the workforce through awareness and knowledge.
