MARGAO: Good Angels edged past UC of Benaulim 1-0 to win the inter-ward football tournament organized by V.P. Cana Benaulim at SAG ground Vaddie.
The match’s sole and decisive goal was netted by Levy in the 20th minute, Despite relentless efforts and several close attempts, UC Benaulim was unable to penetrate the robust defence of Good Angels.
The tension remained high throughout the game, with both teams showcasing exceptional skill and determination. Xavier Pereira, Sarpanch of V.P. Cana Benaulim, graced the event as the chief guest, alongside Nicholas Rodrigues and other panch members, who presented the awards.
